The spirits of Carlisle

What is the spirit of Carlisle?

“I, too, am appalled by the pagan spirit which seems to permeate those responsible for the celebration of the Millennium in Carlisle. I am in discussion with other church leaders and particularly Bishop Harland over the proposed Cursing Stone. He is also in touch with the present Cardinal Archbishop of Glasgow about it. ...you can be quite sure that I support your opposition to what is proposed.”

So wrote The Rt Reverend John Brewer, the (then) Catholic Bishop of Lancaster, whose Diocese includes Cumbria, on 16th February AD 1999.

This book has been written because of an injustice perpetuated against Jesus. The author believes that God has allowed calamities to come to Carlisle because the city chose the spirit of this world rather than the Holy Spirit when city officials caused the creation of occult items to celebrate the birth (Millennium) of Jesus.
